Building polishing to prevent dust, square shield guarding every breath

Feb,14,2026 << Return list

During the process of building polishing, a large amount of dust will be generated. If these dust are inhaled by the human body, long-term accumulation can easily cause occupational diseases such as lung diseases, seriously threatening the respiratory health and life safety of workers. Therefore, standardized wearing, correct use, and scientific maintenance of protective masks are key links in preventing dust hazards and ensuring workers' occupational health during construction polishing operations. Based on the actual operation, the relevant precautions are as follows:

There are many precautions to follow in the daily use and maintenance of masks. During the polishing operation, it is strictly prohibited to remove the mask, pull the edge of the mask, or adjust the position of the mask at will to prevent dust from entering the respiratory tract. If the mask becomes damp, contaminated, or damaged, or if breathing resistance significantly increases due to prolonged use, it should be replaced immediately.

It is recommended to set up mask replacement points at the work site so that workers can replace them in a timely manner. Generally speaking, the wearing time of disposable dust masks should not exceed 4 hours; For masks with replaceable filter cotton, it is necessary to replace the filter cotton in a timely manner according to the degree of pollution. When the surface of the filter cotton is covered with dust and the breathing resistance increases, it should be replaced immediately to avoid filter cotton blockage affecting breathing and protective effect.

Attention should also be paid to the storage of masks. Unused masks should be placed in a dry, clean, and ventilated environment to avoid moisture and pollution; After use, masks should be properly disposed of according to garbage classification requirements and should not be discarded at will to avoid secondary pollution. In addition to wearing protective masks, building polishing operations should also be accompanied by other protective measures to jointly reduce dust hazards. Good ventilation should be maintained at the work site, and local exhaust equipment should be set up reasonably to timely discharge dust from the air and reduce dust concentration.

Workers should undergo regular occupational health examinations, with a focus on checking lung function, in order to detect lung lesions early and achieve early detection, diagnosis, and treatment. The safety protection of construction polishing operations is not a trivial matter, and the health of every construction worker deserves careful protection. Although small, protective masks are a "life barrier" that resists dust hazards and protects respiratory health. We would like to remind every construction polishing practitioner to enhance their awareness of safety protection, strictly select, wear, and use protective masks in accordance with regulations, refuse ineffective protection, and eliminate the mentality of taking chances.
