For the replaceable Fangdun dust half mask, it is not just a tool, but also a "comrade" who accompanies us in our daily work. Proper maintenance and upkeep can not only prolong the service life of the mask, reduce usage costs, but also ensure that it always performs at its best protective performance in critical moments.
Cleaning and disinfection are the foundation of daily maintenance. After each use, the inside of the mask often accumulates exhaled moisture, sweat, and skin oil, while the outside may be contaminated with a large amount of dust. If not cleaned in a timely manner, not only will it produce odors and breed bacteria, but it may also corrode the mask material, leading to aging and hardening.

The correct cleaning method is to first remove the filter box or filter cotton (note that the filter cotton cannot be cleaned), then place the mask body in warm water, use neutral soapy water or specialized cleaning agent, and gently wipe with a soft cloth. For components such as exhalation valves, they can be carefully removed and cleaned separately to check if the valve plate is deformed or stuck. After cleaning, rinse with clean water and dry with a dry cloth, then place in a cool and ventilated place to air dry naturally. Remember, it is strictly prohibited to use organic solvents such as gasoline, alcohol, strong acids and alkalis for cleaning, as this can damage the material structure and cause the mask to fail.

The replacement of filter elements is the core of maintenance. Filter cotton or filter cartridges are consumables that have a certain dust holding capacity. When the filter cotton is saturated with adsorption, the most intuitive feeling is a significant increase in respiratory resistance, and the wearer feels "holding their breath". At this point, you should immediately leave the contaminated area and replace the filter cotton with a new one. If the filter cotton is found to be damaged, damp, or severely contaminated by pollutants, it must also be replaced in a timely manner. For some specially designed products, such as metal fiber layers, although they can be cleaned by tapping to extend their service life, the core fine filter layer still needs to be replaced regularly.

Regular inspection and storage cannot be ignored. It is recommended to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the Fangdun mask once a week, including whether there are cracks in the mask body, whether the headband is loose and lacks elasticity, and whether the exhalation valve plate is flat and undamaged. If any components are found to be damaged, they should be replaced with accessories or the entire cover in a timely manner. When not in use, the face mask should be stored in a clean, dry, and ventilated environment, away from high temperatures, direct sunlight, organic solvents, and other chemicals to prevent material aging.
Treat the face mask as a living companion, carefully nurturing it, so that it can provide you with a safe breathing space when you need it the most.
