A dust cover usually consists of several basic parts. The main body is the mask shell, usually made of soft rubber or silicone material, which can fit the facial contour and form a relatively sealed space. Filter elements, most commonly filter cotton, are installed on both sides or in front of the shell. Filter cotton is composed of multiple layers of fiber materials, which can intercept dust of different particle sizes. In addition, the mask is equipped with an exhalation valve, which opens when the user exhales, allowing hot and humid gases to be quickly expelled, reducing the stuffiness and moisture accumulation inside the mask.
When wearing a dust-proof half face mask, it is necessary to adjust the headband to ensure a tight fit between the mask and the face, but not too tight to avoid discomfort. There is usually a moldable metal pressure strip at the nose bridge, which can be pressed with fingers to fit the shape of the nose bridge and reduce the possibility of air leakage. After wearing it, it is recommended to do a simple air tightness check: block the air inlet with your palm, then gently inhale. If you feel that the mask is significantly collapsed and there is no air leakage, it indicates that the wearing is basically qualified.
The main function of Fangdun dust half mask is protection. In mines, construction sites, cement plants, ceramic workshops, furniture polishing, textiles, agricultural grain processing and other places, a large amount of dust is often suspended in the air. Long term inhalation of these dust particles can cause varying degrees of damage to the respiratory system, such as pneumoconiosis, chronic bronchitis, etc. The dustproof half mask can block most of the dust outside and reduce the inhalation volume through filtering. It should be noted that the filtration efficiency of different dust masks varies, and the appropriate grade of filter cotton should be selected based on the dust concentration and particle size.
When using Fangdun dust half mask, there are several points to pay attention to. Firstly, filter cotton is a consumable and cannot be used indefinitely. When there is a significant increase in respiratory resistance or obvious dirt on the surface of the filter cotton, it should be replaced in a timely manner. Secondly, the mask shell needs to be cleaned regularly. After use, you can use a soft cloth dipped in neutral cleaning solution to wipe, air dry and store, avoiding high temperature and direct sunlight. Thirdly, not everyone's face shape matches perfectly with the mask. If obvious air leakage is found, it may be necessary to switch to a different model or brand of product. Fourthly, the dust-proof half mask is only suitable for ordinary dust environments and cannot be used for toxic gases, vapors, or oxygen deficient environments.
Some people feel that wearing a mask is stuffy and troublesome, or they believe that 'I have worked my whole life without any problems', so they are unwilling to use it. But in fact, the harm of dust to the body accumulates slowly, and many respiratory diseases only manifest after long-term exposure.
