From Fangdun's perspective on protection: correct opening methods for disposable, half face mask, and full face mask

Jul,13,2026 << Return list

Proper selection of respiratory protective equipment is crucial in various types of homework and daily protection. Disposable masks, half face masks, and full face masks each have their own applicable scenarios and need to be accurately matched according to environmental risks.

The disposable mask has a simple structure, is lightweight and easy to carry, and is suitable for short-term, low to moderate concentration non oily dust environments, such as daily cleaning, ordinary building decoration, wood polishing, etc. Its protective efficiency is usually between 90% and 95%, which can effectively block larger particles, but cannot protect against toxic gases or oily particles. Moreover, due to limited facial adhesion, it is not recommended to use it in high-risk or long-term operations.

The half face mask covers the mouth, nose, and jaw area, and is designed with replaceable filter cotton or filter box, suitable for environments with medium to high concentrations of dust, oily particles, or low concentrations of toxic gases, such as mechanical processing, painting operations, laboratory operations, and pesticide spraying. Its advantages lie in its relatively lightweight wearing, wide field of view, ease of fine operation, and good economy, suitable for long-term operation. Taking Fangdun half face mask as an example, this type of product is made of liquid silicone material, which not only fits the face and has good air tightness, but also effectively reduces the pressure of long-term wearing, making it very suitable for work scenarios that require flexible operation. However, it should be noted that a half face mask cannot protect the eyes. If there is liquid splashing or irritating gas that may harm the eyes, it is not suitable.

A full face mask covers the entire face, including the eyes, mouth, nose, and jaw, providing a comprehensive protection solution suitable for high-risk scenarios. Suitable for environments with high concentrations of toxic gases, strong irritant dust, and high risks of chemical splashes, such as chemical workshops, emergency rescue, fire evacuation, or confined space operations. It has strong sealing properties and can effectively prevent harmful substances from entering through the gaps between the eyes or face. For example, the Fangdun full face hood, with a large area of double lip sealing gasket design, can control the leakage rate at an extremely low level, providing stable and reliable protective support for various high-risk work scenarios. But the full face mask is heavy and has limited visibility, making it easy to feel stuffy and hot when worn for a long time.

In short, the selection of protective equipment should follow the principle of "risk orientation": low-risk short-term operations should choose disposable masks, medium risk or flexible operation should choose half masks, and high-risk, strong stimulation or comprehensive protection must use full masks. Regardless of the type, it is necessary to conduct a tightness test before wearing to ensure effective protection.
