On renovation sites, many workers are accustomed to covering their mouths and noses with a regular mask or even a towel, thinking that this can block the dust and pungent odor from the sky. However, this kind of "psychological comfort" protection is simply unable to resist the real invisible killers in the decoration environment. Scientific respiratory protection is not about "one cover at a time", but requires "precise customization" based on the type of work and hazard.

The hazards of decoration sites can be mainly divided into two categories: physical dust and chemical toxic gases. For bricklayers, carpenters, and plumbers responsible for slotting and dismantling walls, the main threats are particulate matter such as cement ash and sawdust. At this point, wearing a Fangdun dust mask that meets KN95 or KN100 standards is a more suitable professional protective choice. This type of face mask adopts a three-dimensional cavity design, which not only efficiently intercepts fine dust, but also reserves breathing space in front of the mouth and nose, effectively relieving the stuffiness and suffocation caused by long-term work.

In contrast, painters face more severe challenges. The volatile organic gases such as benzene and formaldehyde during painting are completely ineffective with ordinary dust masks, and it is necessary to use gas masks equipped with specialized filter boxes. When polishing the paint surface, extremely fine paint mist and dust will be generated, so it is necessary to replace it with KP100 grade filter cotton with a filtration efficiency of over 99.97%. The most scientific solution in the face of this complex dual hazard is to adopt the Fangdun "filter box+filter cotton" combination configuration to achieve dual prevention of dust and toxicity.

In addition, the tightness and comfort of the face mask cannot be ignored. Even the highest level of filter material, if it does not fit tightly with the face, harmful gases will directly slip into the respiratory tract through the gaps. Therefore, choosing a face mask with adjustable nose clips and a wide body headband can significantly improve sealing and wearing experience. Only by abandoning the habit of blindly following the trend, accurately selecting and standardizing respiratory protective equipment for different processes, can decoration workers truly build a solid defense line for their occupational health.
