Half face mask combined with filter box is a common respiratory protection combination in the industrial field. By adapting different types of filter boxes, it can cope with various work scenarios containing low concentrations of toxic and harmful gases. The selection and use need to be accurately matched with environmental parameters.
Adapt to homework scenarios
Organic steam working environment: suitable for spray painting, coating, shoe-making glue brushing, chemical organic solvent feeding and other scenarios. It needs to be equipped with a brown A-type filter box to protect against organic gases such as benzene, toluene, xylene with boiling points higher than 65 ℃.
Acidic gas working environment: Suitable for electroplating, acid washing, metal pre-treatment cleaning and other working conditions, equipped with a yellow E-type filter box, can filter acidic gases such as sulfur dioxide and hydrogen chloride.
Alkaline gas working environment: suitable for sewage treatment, septic tank treatment, fertilizer and agricultural material production, etc., equipped with a green K-type filter box to protect against ammonia and organic ammonia derivatives.
Dust+gas composite environment: In scenarios where particles and harmful gases coexist during polishing, painting, graphitization processing, etc., a comprehensive filter box should be selected and paired with KN95 or higher grade filter cotton to achieve dual protection.
Prerequisite for use and key selection points
This combination is only suitable for open/semi open work environments with oxygen concentration ≥ 19.5% and pollutant concentration not exceeding 10 times the occupational exposure limit. It cannot be used in oxygen deficient, enclosed spaces, unknown gases, or high concentration highly toxic environments.
When selecting, the first thing to check is the type of half face mask interface. The filter box with threaded interface and buckle interface cannot be used interchangeably; Secondly, strictly match the pollutant type according to the color ring identification of the filter box, and there is no universal protective filter box.
Precautions for use and maintenance
Before wearing, a tightness check is required: block the air inlet of the filter box for inhalation, and the mask should slightly collapse without any air leakage to be qualified. If you smell an odor, experience a significant increase in respiratory resistance during use, or if the filter cartridge has been opened for more than 6 months or has gained more than 15 grams, it should be replaced in a timely manner. The shelf life of unopened filter cartridges is usually 3-5 years. When stored, they should be sealed and placed in a cool and dry place to avoid moisture and failure.
